New School Year Announcement

2026–2027 Academic Year

Sion North Wake Academy (SNWA) is pleased to announce the opening of the 2026–2027 Academic Year.

First Day of Classes: August 10, 2026
Last Day of Classes: May 28, 2027

All Full-Time, Dual Diploma, and Academic Enrichment programs will commence on Monday, August 10, 2026. Prior to the start of classes, students in Grades 1–12 will receive their course schedules, teacher assignments, and orientation information.

Highlights for the 2026–2027 Academic Year

Live Instruction by U.S. Educators
Students will receive live online instruction from qualified native English-speaking teachers and certified educators based in the United States.

Monthly Academic Progress Reports
Parents will receive monthly reports detailing academic performance, attendance, and overall student progress.

College and Career Readiness
Beginning in Grade 10, students will benefit from academic advising, college planning, career exploration, and SAT preparation.

Dual Enrollment Opportunities
Qualified high school students may enroll in college-level courses through SNWA's partner institutions and earn transferable college credits while completing their high school education.

Scholarship Preparation
High-achieving students will have access to SAT preparation and scholarship advising to strengthen applications to universities in the United States and Europe.

Technology and Academic Integrity
SNWA utilizes the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) to deliver instruction, assessments, assignments, and communication. All coursework is subject to the school's Academic Integrity Policy and may be reviewed using plagiarism detection and AI-assisted verification tools.

Student Success and English Proficiency
Students are expected to maintain consistent attendance, active class participation, and responsible study habits. Continuous English language development remains essential for academic excellence and university readiness.

Today's Announcements

Academic Year Opening – August 18, 2025

Full-Time and Dual Diploma classes will begin on Monday, August 18, 2025. Students in Grades 1–12 will be assigned to classes before the start of the academic year.

2025–2026 Academic Year Updates

  1. Teachers will record attendance for all classes.

  2. Canvas assignments will utilize AI-detection technology. Any assignment determined to have been completed primarily through unauthorized AI assistance may receive a grade of zero.

  3. Additional mathematics tutoring support will be available in Vietnam for students requiring academic assistance.

  4. High school students in Grades 9–12 will receive information regarding Dual Enrollment opportunities with accredited colleges and universities, allowing them to earn college credits while completing high school.

  5. High-achieving high school students may be selected for SAT preparation programs designed to support applications for merit-based scholarships at colleges and universities in the United States and Europe.

  6. Student academic progress reports and grade updates will be sent directly to parents each month for ongoing monitoring and support.

Easter Celebration: Beach & Movie Day

The SNWA Student Learning Support Center in Da Nang will host a special Beach & Movie Day for currently enrolled SNWA students.

Date: Monday, April 14, 2025

Time: 7:30 AM – 11:30 AM

Location: 158 Pham Van, Phuoc My Ward, Son Tra District, Da Nang, Vietnam

Cost: Free of Charge

Program Schedule

• 7:30 AM – 9:30 AM: Beach activities, storytelling, team games, and interactive activities with international volunteers

• 9:30 AM – 10:00 AM: Return to the learning center

• 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM: Movie screening – Pets 2

Students should bring:

• Change of clothes

• Hat or cap

• Sunscreen

• Sandcastle toys (optional)

Announcement – April 1, 2025

  1. Sion North Wake Academy will not offer a Summer Program during 2025.

  2. Graduating seniors completing Grade 12 in June 2025 will be invited, together with their families, to a special graduation recognition ceremony and diploma presentation.

  3. SNWA plans to resume its Summer Camp Program in June 2026 for all enrolled students.


Announcement – September 2024

SNWA students and parents may access the school's online learning platform anytime and from anywhere with an internet connection.

SNWA operates three academic divisions:

• Elementary School (Grades K–5)

• Middle School (Grades 6–8)

• High School (Grades 9–12)

Students in Grades 6–12 may participate in cultural exchange and academic partnership programs with schools in the United States and Europe. Academic performance, community involvement, leadership, and extracurricular achievements remain important factors in future college admissions.

Students are expected to access their courses regularly and complete weekly assignments. Through Canvas, students can:

• Submit assignments online

• Attend live classes with native English-speaking teachers

• Participate in academic discussions

• Communicate directly with teachers and receive academic support

Parents will receive monthly academic reports to monitor student progress. The Admissions and Student Services Office is available to assist families and answer questions throughout the school year.
